Tanya Curran Brown

Tanya Curran Brown

Tanya was born in a bush nursing hospital in Toora, Victoria, and moved houses twenty times during her first sixteen years. She is a hairdresser with a wicked sense of humour and a life-long love of theatre, and as a master hairdresser has trained many apprentices who now have their own salons throughout the east coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Tanya Curran Brown writes a gutsy in-your-face true account of dealing with a highly agressive form of breast cancer that will have you reading the book with tears of laughter, thanks to her witty humour and unique perspectives.

Adaptable and encompassing, as a breast cancer survivor she shares her experiences with those who need a hand to hold as they undertake the same journey. She sits with them during their first chemo session, and demonstrates that survival is not only achievable, bu that the journey towards is manageable, and not without a dash of humour and soul.
